Questions
How are the colors chosen?
The picture is shrunk, its colors are grouped into the number you ask for, and each group is shown by the average of its colors. The percentage is how much of the picture the group covers. See-through parts are ignored.
Why do I get fewer colors than I asked for?
A picture with only a few different colors has no more to show. A logo on a plain background may give two or three.
Will I get the same colors every time?
Yes. The same picture and the same number always give the same answer.
Are my pictures uploaded anywhere?
No. The file is read in your browser, on your device. It is not sent to a server.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. This tool runs in your browser, so your files stay on your device and are never sent to a server.
Is it free?
Yes, you can use it for free. A subscription removes limits and unlocks premium tools.
