How is the drawing made?
The picture is turned to gray, a blurred negative copy is laid over it, and the two are divided. Flat areas become white paper and edges become dark lines. This is the method of the "color dodge" blend in drawing programs, so no AI is involved and nothing leaves your device.
Which pictures work best?
Portraits and objects with clear edges and even light. Busy or dark pictures give messy lines; try a thicker line.
Can I do many pictures at once?
Yes. Drop as many as you like. Each gets the same settings, and you can download them all as one ZIP file.
Is it slow on big pictures?
Effects look at every pixel, so a 24-megapixel photo takes a few seconds and the page may pause while it works. Making the picture smaller first with the resize tool is faster.
Are my pictures uploaded anywhere?
No. The effect is worked out on your device, in your browser. The pictures are not sent to a server.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. This tool runs in your browser, so your files stay on your device and are never sent to a server.
Is it free?
